A method for manufacturing an electrode containing a porous coating layer is provided to prevents the disconnection between an anode and a cathode even when an electrochemical device becomes overheated through inorganic fibers with superior thermal stability. A method for manufacturing an electrode comprises: a step (S1) of providing a sol solution containing metal alkoxide compounds; and a step (S2) of electrospraying the sol solution onto an outer surface of an electrode active material layer formed on at least one surface of a current collector to form a porous non-woven coating layer made of inorganic fiber.
