The provided dispersant is characterized by consisting primarily of hydroxyalkyl chitosan; specifically, at least one species selected from a group comprising glyceryl chitosan, hydroxyethyl chitosan, hydroxypropyl chitosan, hydroxybutyl chitosan, and hydroxybutyl hydroxypropyl chitosan.
