The invention discloses a multi-layer and multi-wire large diameter steel wire rope comprising six rope strands and a steel core. The six rope strands are arranged along the outer circumference of the rope core with equal intervals by 60 degrees; each rope strand comprises a strand core, a first-layer steel wire rope group, a second-layer steel wire rope group, the third-layer steel wire rope group, a fourth-layer steel wire rope group, a fifth-layer steel wire rope group and a sixth-layer steel wire rope group; the strand core consists of a group of steel wire ropes and is arranged at the center of each rope strand, the first-layer steel wire rope group is positioned at the periphery of the strand core, the second-layer steel wire rope is entwisted at the periphery of the first-layer steel wire rope group, the third-layer steel wire rope is entwisted at the periphery of the second-layer steel wire rope group, and the other layers of steel wire ropes can be done in the same manner; and the all adjacent steel wire ropes in each rope strand are tangent with each other. According to the scheme of the invention, each rope strand consists of 115 steel wires with different diameters, the good flexibility of the whole steel wire rope, the good tensile strength and torsion resistance of a single wire can be obtained by adopting the six-layer entwisting, and the service life of the multi-layer and multi-wire large diameter steel wire rope can be prolonged.
