An operating board for an elevator is configured so that the front portion (12) of a housing (5) has a frame body (14) and front face plates (15-17). The frame body (14) has a first vertical frame (18) and a second vertical frame (19). Stationary members (21-24) are mounted across and between the first vertical frame (18) and the second vertical frame (19). Holding members (27-30) for holding the front face plates (15-17) on the frame body (14) are affixed to the stationary members (21-24). The holding members (27-30) have: holding sections (27a, 28a) overlapping the vertical ends of the front surfaces of the front face plates (15-17); and fastening sections (27c, 28c) protruding rearward from the holding sections (27a, 28a) and screwed to the stationary members (21-24).
