A handle heater comprises a mesh heating body comprising a plurality of heater wire strands woven into mesh, and electrodes disposed at both ends of the mesh heating body. Each of the electrodes comprises a metal foil whereon the mesh heating body is welded, and an insulating protective tape sandwiching, by being folded back along the width direction of the mesh heating body, the front and back surfaces of an electrode base body containing the metal foil and one of the ends of the mesh heating body. The mesh heating body is disposed in such a manner that each end in the length direction thereof follows an edge surface of the corresponding metal foil, and a space is present between the length direction end of the electrode base body and the folded-back portion of the protective tape.
