According to the coating slurry for the current collector of the lithium ion battery as well as the current collector and the preparation method thereof, the slurry is coated on the surface of a current collector material, so that a migration distance of active substances of positive and negative electrodes can be reduced, a battery interface is improved, the cycling and safety performance and the rate performance of the battery are improved, and meanwhile, the mass of the current collector can be reduced, the quality of the active substances is improved, and the energy density of the battery is improved.
