The present invention employs, as the iron core of a transformer, an iron core obtained by laminating at least two types of grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheets that differ from each other in magneto-striction by at least 2*10<-7> when magnetized from 0 T to 1.7 T, and thereby is able to reduce vibration of the iron core and ameliorate noise issues in the transformer.
