A speech recognition device comprises: a speech recognition unit (101) for recognizing a speech of a speaker; a keyword extraction unit (103) for extracting a predetermined keyword from the results ofspeech recognition; a conversation determination unit (105) for determining whether or not the speech from the speaker is a conversation by referring to the keyword extraction results; and an operation command extraction unit (106) that extracts a command for operating equipment from the speech recognition results when the conversation determination unit determines that the speech is not a conversation and does not extract a command from the speech recognition results when the conversation determination unit determines that the speech is a conversation.
