A needle valve (2) or other pointed valve is arranged in a valve casing (1), said valve being movable in the fluid inflow direction and perpendicular to the associated seat (18), and the portion of which extending out of the casing is axially displaceable on the one hand by adjusting means (15) and on the other hand, independently thereof, by a piston-and-cylinder (9) assembly.
