An automatic developing machine for photosensitive material wherein an exposed photosensitive material (F) and a guide web (W) received a processing agent are wound on a winding shaft (511) in a superposed state, and the guide web (W) and the photosensitive material (F) are rewound when a predetermined time period elapses after a completion of winding of the photosensitive material (F) and the guide web (W) in a dark box (11).
