A therapeutic composition for veterinary use comprises a therapeutic agent, such as an anthelmintic drug, associated by sorption and/or adsorption with a substrate selected from zeolites and/or pillared clays. Preferably, the drug is present in an amount in the range from 5 to 300 mg per gram of substrate.
