An axial swirler of a contact-separation element for mass-exchange and separation apparatuses comprises a bushing (1) with a closed inlet end and an open outlet end, on the external surface of which are mounted blades (2) inclined in relation to the axis of the bushing (1) at its outlet end. At the outlet end of the bushing (1) a deflecting element (6) is mounted shaped as a body of revolution, of which the generatrix of the external surface (9) has such a form that the tangent to the generatrix at its most distant point from the blades (2) is set at an angle of 0 to 15°, in relation to the longitudinal axis of the bushing (1).
