A termination system is provided for use with optical fibre systems installed in tubular passageways using a flow of air or other gas. The system comprises a housing (1) and a module (3) movable between a first position in which the module is enclosed in the housing and a second position in which the module extends from the housing to allow access to the interior of the module. The module is provided with a clamp (13, 80) for terminating an end of at least one duct (10) in which an optical fibre member may be installed, and a connector (23) for terminating an end of at least one further optical fibre member (24′)
