摘要：
A single pass highlight color printing system has an optical image bar (12) the on-time of which is separated into two equal time intervals. The image bar output is separated into two image outputs (20, 30) each requiring a different color development and each half of the image bar on-time is used to write a respective one of the image outputs to expose two separate areas (28, 35) of a photoreceptor (26). Each exposed area is developed by a toner (40, 42) of a desired color and the developed image, having two colors thereon, is transferred to a copy sheet (48) to form a two-color output copy.
