A control valve (19) for an injector (10) comprising a valve body (38) having of a control chamber connected to a drain conduit via a hole (49) terminating at a flat surface (68) of the valve body (38). The plunger of the valve (19) consists of a plate (67) housed in a seat (66), the bottom wall (86) of which arrests the travel ("b") of the plate (67). This is controlled by the anchor (28) of an electromagnet (20), which anchor (28) presents a rod (31) arrested directly by an adjustable stop (78) after traveling a distance "a" greater than travel "b". The opening and closing time of the valve (19) is therefore unaffected by wear on the stop (78) of the anchor (28). The rod (31) of the anchor (28) is in one piece with a stem (37) activating the plate (67), and with a threaded portion (77) screwed to the anchor (28).
