Junction of the starting end and the finishing end of an edge gasket on a sheet of glass, for example a windscreen for an automobile, extruded directly onto the glass (2), is carried out by means of a separate supplementary mold applied to the glass, into which a compatible polymerizable compound is poured to complete the gasket.
