Braking device, particularly usable for skates including a shoe (2) composed of a quarter (4) which is articulated to a shell (5) which is in turn associated with a frame (6) for supporting wheels (7). The device includes at least one cable (9) which connects the quarter (4) to a braking element (17), so as to allow to obtain the braking action when the quarter is tilted.
