摘要：
The multiple-spindle lathe described has at least two parallel-acting workpiece spindle units (18, 20) mounted to move in the x and z direction. The spindle units operate in conjunction with fixed workpiece carriers (22, 24) and themselves convey the workpieces to and from a workpiece-turning device (30) so that there is no need for an automatic conveyor to feed the workpieces between the two spindle units (18, 20).
