A lightweight grenade launcher (10) utilizing a rotary feed mechanism in conjunction with a toggle link bolt movement mechanism (17, 22) to incorporate the barrel (12), flash suppressor, bolt (22) and toggle link mechanism (17) as part of the gun's recoiling mass with the barrel (12) moving during recoil and counter recoil through a center aperture in the rotary sprocket (14) of the feed mechanism.
