A transdermal therapeutic system that contains acetylsalicylic acid as active substance has a laminated structure with a substantially active substance-and humidity-tight back layer, as well as one or several active substance-containing matrix layers. The transdermal therapeutic system is characterised in that at least one of the matrix layers contains acetylsalicylic acid mainly in the crystalline form.
