A casing (1) is suitable for boat propeller systems (2) at least partially located outside of a boat hull (6). At least two shell halves (3) that may be set on the part of the boat propeller system located outside of the boat hull have an inner contour that fits with the shape of said part of the boat propeller system. The shell halves may be interconnected. Their inner contour is made of a foamed material maintained by the walls of the shell halves.
