In a one-piece paper or cardboard blank (10) for a flat sleeve (12) to contain a diskette or the like for use in a ring or adhesive binder, there is an envelope section (18) on a basic sheet (16) facing away from its free transverse edge (20) via a fold line (21) parallel thereto, said section's width's being the same as or smaller than that of the basic sheet between the free transverse edge (20) and the fold line and the envelope section (18) has two groove lines (24, 25) parallel to its longitudinal edges (22, 23), the distance between which determines the width of the flat sleeve (12). In addition, there is a cut line (27) between the ends of the two parallel groove lines away from the fold line (21) which is realized as a cutout from its two ends towards the fold line (21).
