The rack contains vertical standards (4) in which horizontal bearing rods (8) are set perpendicular to the insertion direction (12) and fixed in place for the load carriers (2) to be set down on, the latter having bottom recesses (14) to catch on the bearing rods. On the insertion side the rack standards (4) are tapered and form insertion slants (6) to facilitate insertion of the load carriers. Such a rack is extremely simple to make, is flexible and requires very little material, and so is very cost-effective.
