A round baler (10) comprises a baling chamber (12) mounted on a main frame (11) for forming cylindrical packages of crop material (13) therein, said baling chamber (12) being at least partially defined by a pair of side walls (22, 26) and an apron assembly (28) having an inner run which is guided at the inside of a cylindrically shaped continuous wall (34, 35), and an outer run which is guided at the outside of said continuous wall (34, 35). Said continuous wall (34, 35) is provided with an opening (47) for the recuperation into said chamber (12) of crop material which has been entrained by said apron assembly (28) when the latter left said baling chamber (12) and entered its outer run.
