The invention concerns a writing implement for ink which comprises a nib and a shaft (3), a lamella system being provided for accommodating and dispensing ink. The lamella system comprises an ink feed groove (18) extending in a longitudinal lamella carrier (10). A group of transverse, mutually spaced lamellae (24) emerges from the lamella carrier (10), a capillary gap (20) being formed between these lamellae (24), between the side of the lamella carrier (10) comprising the open side of the ink feed groove (18) and the inner wall (22) of the shaft (3). In a first area (34), in the region of the open side of the ink feed groove (18), the lamellae (24) each extend to the inner wall (22) of the shaft (3). In a second area (36), which is remote from the first area (34) and extends over at least 80 % of the periphery of the lamellae (24), a distance which inhibits the capillary effect is maintained from the inner wall (22) of the shaft (3).
