The invention relates to a method for producing a paper coating by adding a calcium-containing pigment into it. According to the invention, waterglass is added to the paper coating mixture, thus preventing solidification of the coating induced by calcium and keeping the viscosity of the mixture at a low level. Moreover, the invention relates to a relevant coating.
