The invention relates to a process for cleaning and disinfecting of milking plants. The milking plant is cleaned at least once a week with a non-disinfecting alkaline cleaning agent and with an acidic cleaning agent which contains, as disinfecting constituents, anionic surfactants, fatty acids, alkyl phosphonic acids and/or ether carboxylic acids.
