A fluorescent lamp which has a curved discharge path formed of a plurality of successively connected tube bodies and is provided with a bulb having a plurality of capillary tubes communicating with the intermediate section of the discharge path; a phosphor formed on the internal surface of the bulb; a gas enclosed in the bulb; electrodes enclosed in both ends of the bulbs; and amalgam enclosed in the capillary tubes nearest the electrodes.
