A device for disassembling automotive suspension systems, particularly for taking apart the spring (39) and shock absorber (45) in a Mc Pherson system, the device enabling any one even without skillfulness in the art to remove a spring/shock absorber assembly in an automotive vehicle, the device comprising a support (1,2,3) having a pair of parallel spaced apart columns (4) and compressing arms (9) slidably mounted along the columns (4) for engaging an end of the spring (39) to retain the spring (39) against the support (1,2,3), the compressing arms (9) being actuated by a driving mechanism (20,26) capable of being operated to move the compressing arms (9) for compressing the spring (39) to detach the spring/shock absorber (45) assembly out from the vehicle.
