摘要：
The invention provides for a machine for handling containers, including bottles, said containers (1) being clamped axially between a centering bell (3) engaging the head of the container (1) anda support plate (2) carrying the bottom of the container (1). The centering bell (3) is actuated by a cam controlled lifting mechanism (4) and by sring (6a, 6b, 6c, 13a, 13c). In order to avoid buckling of springs (6a, 6b, 6c, 13a, 13c), when using relatively long springs, said spring (6a, 6b, 6c, 13a, 13c) is formed of a set of shorter springs (6a, 6b, 6c, 13a, 13c) arranged consecutively.
