Known machines for gluing folding cartons for the production of folding cartons from blanks comprise a folding station (3) for folding blank parts, a transfer station (5) connected thereto and a collecting and pressing device (6) in which the flat-folded folding cartons are pressed to enable the adhesive to set. The transfer station (5) as conveyor device contains at least one pair of conveying belts which consists of a lower belt (7) and an upper belt (8). To make it possible for the folded blanks to be transferred to the collecting and pressing device (6) with precisely aligned lateral flaps the invention provides for means which in the transfer station (5) drive the upper conveying belt (8) at a higher speed than the lower conveying belt (7).
