The discharge member (20) includes an entry passageway (26) for receiving fire extinguishant from a source therefor. The entry passageway (26) communicates with a plurality of transverse discharge passageways (27) and a central, axial passageway (28) for delivering the fire extinguishant into the discharge chamber (21) of the horn (19). Improved throw characteristics for fire extinguishants are achieved.
