When the electronic device is an electronic watch having a second motor for driving a second hand and an hour/minute hand motor for driving an hour/minute hand, and when a second auxiliary pulse signal is outputted to the second motor at the driving timing of the second hand, detection of the magnetic field around the hour/minute motor and detection of the rotation of the hour/minute motor are not performed at and after the driving timing of the hour/minute hand. An hour/minute auxiliary pulse signal is outputted to the hour/minute motor to drive the second hand and the hour/minute hand.
