A disk player, wherein a drive switching mechanism (7) switches a destination to be transmitted so that a single drivingly rotating source (a motor (1), a gear train (2)) allowed to be rotated in both directions can drive a disk transfer means (disk gear train (3)) to which a roller (9) is connected and a pickup (5) transfer means (pickup gear train (6)), the drive switching mechanism (7) comprising a swing body (11) installed swingably about the same axis position as that of a transmission gear (18) of the drivingly rotating source, a switching gear (12) which is installed at the tip of the swing body (11) and transmittably coupled to the transmission gear (18), a swing preventing means preventing the swing body from swinging during the operation of the disk transfer means or pickup transfer means, and an intervenient member (17) which is engaged with the switching gear (12) to assist the swinging of the swing body in a period during which the swing body (11) is positioned in the middle part of a swing route, the switching gear being coupled transmittably to the disk transfer means on one side of the swing route of the swing body, and also coupled transmittably to the pickup transfer means on the other side.
