An automotive dynamo controller comprises a storage battery rechargeable by the output from an alternating-current generator provided with a field coil; means for controlling the current flowing to a field coil based on the voltage detected at the terminals of the storage battery charged by the output voltage from the alternating-current generator so as to control the output from the alternating-current generator; and means for detecting the current flowing to the field coil by a current-detection resistor so as to limit the current to a predetermined value according to the result of detection. The current-detection resistor is a printed thick-film resistor, and the electric circuit including the other means is formed into an integrated circuit.
