The invention relates to substituted benzoylisoxazoles of general formula (I), wherein R?1, R2, R3 and (R4¿) represent hydrogen or certain substituents, a single bond or alkanediyl (alkylene) and an optionally substituted 4-12 membered saturated or unsaturated monocyclic or bicyclic heterocyclic group containing 1-4 heteroatoms (up to 4 nitrogen atoms and optionally - alternatively or additively - an oxygen atom or a sulphur atom, or an SO group or an SO¿2? group) and additionally containing 1-3 oxo groups (C=O) and/or thioxo groups (C=S) as constituents in a heterocycle. The invention also relates to a method for the production and use thereof as herbicides.
