The invention relates to a packaging unit that is produced from essentially flat cut-outs, consisting of a lid (1), a base part (3) with recesses (15), and segments (15) for subdividing the base part into compartments (14) for holding round or egg-shaped packaged goods. The invention also relates to a method for separating the packaging units and filling them with the packaged goods.
