The invention relates to a soundproofing element (2) which comprises a first sheet (4) consisting of a flexible material and a second sheet (6) consisting of flexible material. The sheets (4, 6) are positioned at a distance from one another and at least two chambers (14, 16) are formed between said sheets (4, 6) for receiving a filler medium. According to the invention, the first sheet (4) and the second sheet (6) are connected by connection means located on opposing surfaces. Appropriately, the connection means have at least one connecting length (8) consisting of flexible material. The inventive soundproofing element (2) is constructed simply and robustly. When empty, it is easy to handle and transport. In addition, the inventive soundproofing element is suitable for filling with a high-density filler medium, for example sand or similar.
