The invention relates to a method for the colouring, printing, painting or similar of substrates made from woven textiles, knitted fabrics, hosiery or similar, in particular textiles made from natural fibres or with a preponderant natural fibre component or similar, by means of dispersion dyestuffs, comprising the following method steps: a) coating the substrate surface with an aqueous dispersion of a self-curing polymer, b) drying the dispersion applied to the substrate, c) setting the self-curing polymers and d) application of the dispersion dyestuff to the coated substrate surface.
