摘要：
A deadplate mechanism is provided for an I.S. machine which forms a glass parison into a bottle (10) at a blow station and transfers the formed bottle to a deadplate position. The deadplate mechanism has a cooling canister (220) in which the formed bottle held by a takeout mechanism is located and suspended. The outer surface of the bottle is cooled by air which passes through inlet holes (198) in a deadplate (199) on which the canister is located, upwardly between the outside wall of the bottle and inside wall (101) of the canister, and out of an opening (103) in the top of the canister, while the deadplate is displaced to a bottle release position.
