Video recording is readily and quickly programmed from a remote place through a network. At step S103, a user programs recording of a desired TV program with reference to a TV program HTML-based information displayed on a screen when the user makes an access to an EPG server, and correspondingly a main control unit of a digital portable telephone with a camera requests the EPG server to send an e-mail to which recording programming data on the programmed recording is attached to a personal computer. At Step S112, in response to the sending request, the EPG server reads recording programming data from an EPG information database. At step S113, the EPG server attaches the recording programming data to an e-mail and sends it to a personal computer at a remote place such as the user's house through the Internet.
