The invention concerns a fuel cell. The installation comprises cells consisting each of two anode sections (41, and 42), a connection between the first anode section output (91) and the second anode section input (82), a connection between the second anode section output (92) and the first anode section input (81), a circuit (10) supplying hydrogen to the anode circuits of the cells through two parallel connections (111 and 112) controlled by two opening-closing members (121 and 122), means for periodically controlling the inversion of states of the two members. The invention is applicable to air-hydrogen cells.
