The compounds or the salts selectively inhibit the binding of cell adhesion molecules to VLA-4 and exhibit high oral absorbability, thus being useful as preventive and/or therapeutic drugs for inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases, cancerous metastasis, bronchial asthma, nasal occlusion, diabetes, and so on.
