The focusing means provides a light projecting position C1, C2 in the vicinity of a range B on the sample and to be imaged by the line sensor. Furthermore, by using a two-dimensional CCD sensor 332 capable of taking an image of a two-dimensional spread, it is swiftly and easily set an in-sample imaging region.
