A door installed at a platform for an elevator which comprises a front plate (21) made of a metal and, joined to the rear face of the plate via an adhesive layer (23), a reinforcing material (22) made of a metal, wherein the adhesive layer (23) comprises an organic adhesive containing a flame retardant such as ammonium polyphosphate. A part of the reinforcing material (22) may be fixed to the front plate (21) with a rivet (24) or the like.
