A portable concrete plant (10) for producing ready mix concrete proximate to a location where the ready mix concrete is used. The portable concrete plant (10) includes storage regions (30, 32, 34, 110) for storing components used in the ready mix concrete. The portable concrete plant (10) also includes a slurry mixer (120) for preparing slurry that is used in the ready mix concrete. The portable concrete plant (10) further includes conveying systems for conveying the components from the storage regions (30, 32, 34, 110) and from the slurry mixer (120) to a system discharge port.
