The invention relates to a nebulizer for applying liquids on the cornea or the ocular connective tissue, comprising special eye adapters for said nebulizer. The invention also relates to the use of nebulizers in ophthalmological applications. The inventive nebulizers are propellant-free and have an energy accumulator for supplying the energy needed for the nebulization process.
