The invention relates to a measuring roller (1) for determining variations in flatness when treating strip-type items, especially when rolling metal strips. The distribution of stress is measured along the width of the strip with the aid of piezoelectric sensors (7), which are arranged in the longitudinal recesses of a full roller at a distance from the covering surface and are wedged therein.
