The invention concerns a potter's wheel (1) for shaping a pottery (2), of the type comprising a base (3) supporting a wheelhead (4) capable of being driven in rotation along an axis of rotation (A). The invention is characterized in that it comprises a guide device (5) including means for exerting on said pottery (2) manual forces diametrically opposite relative to the axis of rotation (A) of said wheelhead (4) using at least one tool (8, 8').
