A snap-action hinged closure (1) consisting of a lower part (2), which is joined to a cap (4) via a snap-action hinge (3), is provided with a first tamper-evident band (5), which ensures the integrity of the product before the initial opening by means of an appropriately secured joining between the cap (4) and the lower part (2). A second temper-evident band (6) holds the entire closure (1) on the container neck in a manner that prevents it from being unscrewed. An embodiment of this type enables a significantly better closing and fitting whereby preventing malfunctionings inherent thereto from occurring. The situation is additionally improved by virtue of the fact that an enlarged annular gap (63) is provided between the tamper-evident band (6) and the lower part (2) and is protected by corresponding supporting elements (63, 65) so that, during fitting, the predetermined breaking connecting elements (62) do not tear and they have an increased flexibility, whereas the denticulation (61) of the tamper-evident band (6) slides over a corresponding toothed ring on the container in a ratchet-like manner.
